Dr. Michael Florek is a Board Certified Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM) and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine specialist. He completed residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. There, he excelled as Chief Resident, developing interest in areas such as Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Sonography (MSKUS), Manipulation of pediatric and newborn patients, Interventional Injection techniques as well as Regenerative and Orthobiologic Medicine. He is currently affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital of the Northwell Health System.

He is a graduate of Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received the Certificate of Honor for Outstanding Achievement in what is now his specialty. He is the recipient the A. Hollis Wolf national competition. He contributed to philanthropic activities, coordinating fundraising events for victims of pediatric cancer.

Dr. Florek is passionate about contributing to the industry landscape of Pain Medicine, promoting the study and awareness of non-surgical orthopedic intervention and non-pharmaceutical pain management. The philosophy of his practice is that the body’s natural healing properties can and should be explored when crafting patient’s treatment plans.
