Maria received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from The University of Scranton in 2019 and 2016, respectively. She then worked in an outpatient clinic for 3 years in her home state of Pennsylvania before relocating to the Big Apple.
Maria's clinical experience includes treating a wide variety of orthopedic and neuromuscular/balance impairments while working with patients ranging from 6 to 93 years old. She is certified in LSVT Big treatment for people living with Parkinson's, certified to administer the Functional Movement Screen, and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Attending a Jesuit university offered Maria the opportunity to travel to Zacapa, Guatemala where she provided physical therapy services to underserved and underprivileged citizens with her professors and classmates. This experience further enhanced Maria's passion for the profession of physical therapy, a career that crosses barriers of every kind and catalyzes teamwork, laughter, and friendship.
Maria loves spending time with her family and friends, running (3 marathons in the books), playing softball, reading, skiing, hiking, listening to music, taking pictures of the sunset, and relaxing at the lake and beach. She is excited to experience all that New York has to offer and to work with the great people of NYC!
